All I can say is, "wow!". It is rare to find such an amazing value. Aunt Karen and Tony have such talent at finding these gems! This bottle was a gift from them, celebrating Ryan's album release. So back to the wine: the 2011 Borsao is a Spanish blend of 85% old vine Grenache and 15% Tempranillo, fermented and aged in stainless steel. I am somewhat speechless: seriously impressed by the quality of this wine!
The color is deep purple color, with scents of tart cherries, flowers/lavender and Mediterranean herbs. It is med-full bod, and and the perfect balance of smooth texture and fresh pureness.
